Unveiling the Story Behind Finovate Financial Group

KTech Fest 2.0, organized by Ivilla Square in partnership with Family Worship Center Wuye, Abuja, brought together innovators, developers, entrepreneurs, and technology stakeholders from across Nigeria between December 4–6, 2025. The festival served as a strategic platform for fostering innovation, collaboration, and technology-driven solutions to national challenges.

The event featured a competitive pitch fest alongside a three-day web-based hackathon designed to identify emerging technology talent and promote scalable digital solutions. Participants engaged in intensive workshops, mentorship sessions, and hands-on development experiences that strengthened their technical and entrepreneurial capabilities.

With 495 applications from across the country, KTech Fest 2.0 demonstrated strong national reach and growing interest in technology innovation. Representation spanned multiple regions, highlighting the increasing accessibility of digital skills and entrepreneurship opportunities nationwide.

Beyond competition, the festival emphasized ecosystem growth through collaboration, mentorship, and knowledge sharing. Strong institutional presence and national media coverage further reinforced the credibility and impact of the event within Nigeria’s technology landscape.

KTech Fest continues to position itself as a catalyst for talent discovery, startup growth, and innovation-driven economic development, contributing to the long-term advancement of Nigeria’s technology ecosystem.

The KTech Fest 2.0 Pitch Fest showcased some of Nigeria’s most promising startups, highlighting innovative solutions addressing real-world problems across multiple sectors. Out of 302 applications, only 15 finalists were selected to present before a panel of expert judges.

Finalists participated in a dedicated workshop led by industry mentors, preparing them to refine their business models, improve presentation strategies, and demonstrate execution readiness.

Projects were evaluated using structured criteria including innovation, team competence, market viability, problem-solution fit, and execution readiness. The competition featured a ₦15 million prize pool, combining cash rewards and equity investments to support long-term startup growth.

Qiqi Farms — 1st Place (₦7.5M) An agritech startup represented by Favour Adeleke

Semita AI — 2nd Place (₦4.5M) an AI-powered market research and business validation platform designed for entrepreneurs and SMEs to automate business analysis, competitor research, and idea validation

Avnifi — 3rd Place (₦3M) a financial payments and money-management service that lets users send and receive money, buy airtime/data, and pay bills using WhatsApp — without needing to download another app or open a new account.

AI Hackathon Winners

The KTech Fest 2.0 Hackathon challenged developers to create an AI-powered hotel management system capable of automating the entire guest journey while integrating real-time fraud detection. Out of 193 applicants, 14 teams were selected, and 10 teams successfully completed the three-day competition.

Participants integrated artificial intelligence into real-world operational systems, focusing on automation, efficiency, and enhanced user experience. The challenge emphasized practical innovation, technical excellence, and collaboration under pressure.
